Sunbelt Senior Professional Golf Tour
PROFESSIONAL TOUR GOLF RETURNS TO YUMA!
The Sunbelt Senior Professional Golf Tour will make its Arizona debut in Yuma November 12-15, 2019. Besides the PGA Champions Tour, the Sunbelt Senior is the only other professional senior tour in North America.
The Sunbelt Seniors will play their Tour Championship, a season ending finale with a large field of professionals playing for cash and prestige at Desert Hills Golf Course. And you can play with them in the Pro-Am November 12 for just $40, proceeds of which benefit Amberly’s Place. The field of nearly forty registered golf professionals includes Robin Byrd; Tim Conley; Bill Harvey; Randy Kennedy; Bob Kurtz; John Ross; Hugh Royer and Gary Trivisonno.
The Sunbelt Senior Professional Golf Tour Championship Event Sponsor is Genesis of Yuma. Hugh Royer III, Myrtle Beach, SC – Hugh was a two-time 1st team All-American at Columbus State University and won 4 major amateur championships including the Georgia State Amateur, the Southeastern Amateur, the Western Amateur, & the Azalea Amateur. He won a tournament on the South African Tour and 4 times on the Nike Tour.
John Ross, Freeman, WV – John is the lifetime leading money winner on the Sunbelt Tour. He played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. He won two West Virginia Opens, a Texas Senior Open, a Colorado Senior Open, and three West Virginia Senior Opens. John played in 53 Champions Tour events and qualified for 16 major championships.
Todd Gleaton, Fayetteville, NC – Todd had an outstanding high school and collegiate career winning over 60 tournaments. He also had one win on the Hooters Tour and two wins on the Nike Tour.
The Sunbelt Senior Tour has operated on the east coast for the past 24 years so most of the players have been from east of the Mississippi River, but this Championship event in Yuma, AZ has already attracted many quality professionals from California, Arizona, and Texas.
